The Canadian Consulting Engineer magazine recognizes industry leaders with its new Lifetime Achievement Awards. Maurice Brisson, a BBA founding member, is one of the three award recipients.

Renée-Claude Turgeon has been appointed BBA’s Chief People and Sustainability Officer. She will be supported by Julia Gartley, who is joining her team as the new Vice-President, Health, Safety and Sustainability.

Companies in the heavy industry sector play a key role in the global decarbonization effort and are looking for ways to cut greenhouse gas emissions from their processes. They can count on BBA to help them, as demonstrated through an innovative project that’s currently underway at ArcelorMittal’s iron oxide pellet production plan in Port-Cartier, Québec.

The International Society of Automation (ISA) recently presented BBA with one of its annual awards in the Excellence in Technical Innovation category for its CAMaaS solution. The ISA is a professional association of engineers, technicians and managers involved in industrial automation.

BBA wins an award of excellence for its WindCharger project at the Canadian Consulting Engineering Awards, organized by the Association of Consulting Engineering Companies together with the Canadian Consulting Engineer magazine. The awards are the industry’s highest mark of recognition for the most outstanding engineering projects by Canadian consulting engineering firms.

To support its geographic expansion and market diversification strategy, BBA is announcing the creation of National Sales Director, a position that Geoff Hall will officially fill.
